Atkinson to Take Off For Remainder of Week AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 29. After testing his sore back, which was injured when he fell from Mordigan at the start of Saturdays eighth race, jockey Ted Atkinson this morning decided to take off for the rest of the week. Trainer John Gaver said that he hoped that Atkinson would be able to ride Green -tree Stables Gold Box in Mondays rich Carter Handicap, which he won on North-I era Star and Tom Fool.
