ThistleDown Handicap Gross Value May Exceed 7,600 - THISTLEDOWN, North Randal, Ohio, June 29. The 5,000 ThistleDown Handicap, second richest race to be run at the current meeting, will feature the Saturdays July 9th nine-race program. Thirty-four crack handicap horses have been nominated and if as many as10 go post-ward the gross value, will be 7,600 and the winners share in excess of 1,000. The potential field includes representatives from such well known racing outfits as; the Barclay Stable, Hal Price Headley, North Downs, Thorncliff and Ohios R. A. Parachek, I. J.- Collins and Allie Reuben. Thoroughbreds will be sent to ThistleDown. from Chicago, New York, Detroit and New Jersey for their engagements in the rich handicap.
