WISE TRAFFIC, never far back, drifted to the middle of the track for the stretch run, responded to punisment and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. DIAMOND LADDIE, a sharp factor from the start, held on determinedly but was not good enough for the top one. MONROE COUNTY took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong while engaging DIAMOND LADDIE, then faltered. BLUNDER could not better his position when set down through the stretch. DARLING SON began sluggishly. BLUE FUZZ was outrun and had no excuse. PRIS had early foot but failed to stay. RED BUD LANE began fast but dropped far back immediately after the start. LADY DORIS showed nothing. DING HOW, RANK DURING THE POST PARADE, UNSEATED HIS RIDER BEFORE ENTERING THE STARTING GATE AND RAN OFF. CHIPAWOOD finished fairly well under punishment. NOWADAY GIRL lacked early foot and was. never dangerous. BECKYS PRIDE tired after racing forwardly placed to the last eighth mile.
