Cruz Agent for Gilligan GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 8. — Jockey Larry Gilligan announced this morning that he has turned over the making of his engagements to Howard Cruz, a former steeplechase rider who also manages the "book" of his son, apprentice Howard Cruz Jr. Gilligan is free-lancing but performs the bulk of the riding for the stable of 27 head trained by Bill Mitchell.
