Round Table Leader in Stake Wins The Kerr Stables Round Table, Horse of the Year 1958, accounted for more stakes last year than any other thoroughbred, according to the 1959 American Racing Manual, now on sale. He also headed . the list in 1957 and is the only horse to accomplish the feat twice. Round Table won 11 stakes and features. Calumet Farms Tim Tam won seven piror to being sidelined by an injury in the Belmont Stakes. Boncrist Farm!s Backbone was the only other performer to take seven such events. Meadow Stables First Landing, then a two-year-old, was next in line with six triumphs.
