Fifty Riders at Cahokia CAHOKIA DOWNS, East St. Louis, 111., May 8. — When jockey Billy Buell, a native of Chaffee, Mo., checked his tack this morning with custodian of the jockey room, Jimmy Ferris, it brought the number of licensed riders to 50. Ferris, who makes his home at nearby Collinsville, is replacing Eddie Griffith who elected to remain in New Orleans this summer and who plans waiting the opening of the fall meeting at Jefferson Downs where Griffith is in , charge of the jockey quarters.
