Bandoola Defeats Premonition In Trial Stakes at Sandown SANDOWN PARK, London, Eng., May 6. Reuters. — Brigadier W. P. Wyatts Premonition, second favorite for the Epsom Derby, was beaten a half-length by Mrs. R. MacDonald Buchanans Bandoola in the j Sandown Park Trial Stakes over 10 furlongs here today. Premonition, ridden by Harry Carr, started a hot 3-to-10-favorite in the field of four. Before the race 6,800 to ,512 had been laid about him for the Derby. Bandoola, a 13-to-2 chance who was handled by Charlie Smirke, was dashed into the lead early in the straightaway and though Premonition moved up rapidly in the final furlong he could not catch his rival. It was a slow run race and Premonitions trainer Captain Boyd-Rochfort said the pace did not suit his Precipitation colt.
