Start good from stall gae for all but FIXED STAR. Won driving, second and third the same. JAY EDWARD raced close to C0NVAIR in the early running, took command between calls on the backstretch and continued gamely on the outside through the stretch. HAND SALUTE slipped through on the inside of JAY EDWARD nearing the far turn to take a short lead and held on well in the final drive to finish in a dead-heat with JAY EDWARD. SEGREGATE made up ground while racing on the inside. CONVAIR tired. GEE-LIGHT failed to threaten in a dull effort. FIXED STAR refused to break with the others and was virtually left, but raced well for six furlongs, and then tired. ~~ ."■ — J«nce, 11,542; TotH Mutuel Pool, 82,500.
