Gail Parker Doing Well In First Ohio Campaign ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. May 6. — Jockey Gail Parker is riding in Ohio for the first time this season and thus far has won himself 10 races to rank as one of the leading riders at Ascot Park. Parker, who is only 20 years of age, has won over 400 races since he broke his maiden at Agua Caliente on February 27. 1949. He was the leading rider at all the California fair meetings this past summer, and was the leading jockey during the winter months at Phoenix. Parker is married and has twin daughters. He plans to ride out the meeting here before departing for River Downs.
