The Kentucky Day Purse is an allowance test for three-year-olds and older horses at six furlongs. Including a coupling, there are 11 drawn on the overnight and they will be vying for a portion of the ,500. purse. The Creel Brown, Jr., and C.Mescher entry of Sonny Brown and Juggler will undoubtedly rate the strongest consideration in. the betting with the latter carrying the bulk of support. This Rising light colt was five lengths the best in his last art and the third of his career and his second victory. He began his career in the ,500 claiming brackets at Beulah Park this spring and won by six lengths after going six furlongs in 1 : 13 on a fast track. His following effort was a third to such formidable allowance campaigners of his division as Don Buster and Rough Briar. The last victory was amid ,000 platers, and he was so much the best over that decidedly muddy track that he will be difficult to overlook in this field. Rounding out the group are Mrs. W. V. Reeves Leila Lou, a three-year-old maiden who has been improving steadily with each try; Quill and Gaines Legal, Time, C. B. Hudsons Deep Situation, who has also been campaigning with some of the best on the grounds; R. Wittmers Sedulous, R. G. and C. H. Kirchdorfers Mr. Justice, Mrs. A. Roths Senecas Flash, J. P. Flynns Chancescript, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Prewitts Deanna and Mrs. A. Travis Brownies Girl. The Frankfort Purse has a mile and one-sixteenth staging, is for three-year-bids and older horses, and eight allowance campaigners of the finer sort have accepted the overnight issue. It is extremely difficult to ascertain the strongest probable choice as the field is well matched and each of the candidates has been to the charmed circle either in their last outings or in a previous try.
