Won driving; second and third the same. GULF STREAMi steaded while in hand to the last three-eighths mile, was sent between horses entering the stretch and, responding to brisk urging, disposed of the leaders to win going away. ANDR0S, outrun early, was sent to the outside approaching the stretch, closed fast in the middle of the track but could not seriously threaten the winner. CHAIN REACTION, a sharp factor from the outset, made a good bid nearing the stretch, then faltered. COLOR GUARD raced prominently to the last eighth mile, then weakened. DIXIE FLYER took command early, set the pace to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. BUMPER CROP had early speed but failed to stay. MOCK BATTLE tired after racing well to the stretch. MY FAULT stumbled soon after the break and was unable to reach serious contention. SECOND AVENUE was through early. Scratched 19521 Lieutenant, 105; 18990 Money-Broker, 124. CALM BAY, well placed from the start, took command from ROYAL BONES entering the stretch and drew clear, winning with something left. ROYAL BONES, much used racing SON AL into defeat, was unable to withstand CALM BAY but was easily best of the others. WINNING began slowly, moved up boldly approaching the stretch, was caught in close quarters at the turn, then failed to rally when clear. BOB F lacked early speed and was never dangerous. OUR SNICK raced wide and tired. FLUSHING SAM showed nothing. SON AL made the pace for a half mile while engaging ROYAL BONES, then weakened. THEODORE B. was through early. PRANDIUM, forwardly placed from the start, took command after five-eighths mile and,, establishing a good lead, won with something left- TAUNTING lacked early speed, went wide at the stretch turn, then closed fast but could not reach the winner, GUNGA DIN made a good bid in the early stretch, then drifted out while -tiring. TWINTONE had early speed, but failed to stay. HI SUZANNE began sluggishly and was never danegrous. ONE SWALLOW went to the front early, raced well until challenged by PRANDIUM; then gave way. BERNROUGH began sluggishly. WORK DONE could not keep up after racing well to the stretch. Attendance, 16,420; Total Mutuel Pool; ,003,347.
