Williams Misses Road Trip BOSTON, Mass., June 14 UP. Ted Williams, ailing Boston left fielder, has a virus infection of the right lung and will not accompany the Red Sox, on a two-week trip starting Tuesday. Team physician Dr. Timothy Lamphier said following todays 13-5 loss to Cleveland that Williams liad been "bordering on pneumonia" from the infection. He said Williams, who has been out of action since June 5, would remain sidelined "indefinitely."
