LEA LANE went to the front at once from inside position and drawing away from SERRY when ready, opened a long lead in the last quarter and won in a common gallop. SERRY raced well in attempting to keep up with LEA LANE and was never threatened for second place. SWEET JOSIE finished steadily to best the others. JOAN E. L. weakened in the stretch. NUMERICAL was always well up, and rushing through an opening entering the last furlong, took command and led to the end to win under urging. SUPER DEVIL was outrun to the stretch turn, came strongly on the inside to best TU0S1X. The latter moved up to the pacemaking SHERRY JEN after entering the stretch and seemed just about to take command when he was headed by the winner. SPY MAGIC went along in fairly even fashion all the way. SLEEPY MABEL, close up early, was unable to find an opening after entering the stretch. SHERRY JEN stopped badly in the last eighth. RIVAS was always closest to the leader and well in advance of the others in a fair effort BETSY BELL closed up well nearing the stretch turn and went well thereafter. PRINCE ADARIS weakened in the stretch. MENT POT closed ground.. MENTHAPPY tired. SLO MOE failed to figure seriously. Overweight Betsy Bell, 2 pounds. Sunnybrook Sue claimed by Coroga Stable.
