SUN DIVER, in hand and close to the pace, moved up after a mile, vied for command and was hard ridden to outfinish SUN RUSHER. The latter assumed anarly lead under stout restraint, gave way and remained close up while saving ground, responded when roused and pressed to the final sixteenth and weakened. TOY HUNT moved up after a mile to engage the leaders, then weakened in the final quarter mile. TOMEBAMBA lacked a late rally. BIT-O-MOON dropped off the pace early, was roused after a mile and failed to make up appreciable ground. ASTEROIDE weakened after a mile. The others were outrun. Scratched 199523 Sailor Lad, 114. SANS FAUTE improved his position steadily, responded to stout urging in the late stages and outf inished PLUCKY WILLIE. The latter went into command soon after the start, dominated the pace to the final sixteenth and shortened stride. DO-DO moved readily along the inside to gain a forward position and lacked a late rally. TRUSTED, taken back off the pace and steadied until the final quarter mile, passed tiring horses. ISH-KABBLE rallied in the late stages. CLEAR SWEEP weakened. HILKA went evenly. MINSI was unable to keep up. PAPA FELIX was outrun. Trusted claimed by I. J. White. Clear Sweep claimed by J. Beals.
