Hilarious, Squared Away Vie Again Both Shoulder 124 In Aqueduct Sprint Wheatley Recent Winner to Have Quick Lunch as Entry Mate; Six Others in Field AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 14. Wheatley Stables Hilarious and Mrs. Jan Burkes Squared Away, both of whom- are quartered here at Aqueduct, head a nimble field of nine in Tuesdays ,500 Gravesend Handicap, with 124 pounds each. The Gravesend is a classified event at six furlongs. Hilarious and Squared Away finished at opposite ends of the field in the Stromboli Handicap at Belmont Park on June 5, separated by four horses and more than six lengths. Hilarious, who will again be ridden by Ted Atkinson, surged up in the stretch to score by a length and a half over Mrs. Charles Silvers Ruthred, while Squared Away stopped badly after a half mile and finished last. There is a six-pound weight shift in favor of Squared Away. Ruthred, who ran Squared Away into the ground in the Stromboli, but was unable to withstand Hilarious, gets in with 106 pounds Tuesday and has a favorable shift of three pounds. Nick Wall will pilot Ruthred, while Jim Nichols will be on Squared Away. Hilarious will be coupled with the speedy three-year-old, Quick Lunch, who has been assigned 114 pounds, which is seven under scale. Hilarious and Squared Away are each six pounds below the theoretical standard. In his last outing, Quick Lunch stood a long drive gamely,, but was not quite able to give five pounds to the speedy Card Trick. Jess Higley will be in the saddle. Belluno Speed Artist C. T. Chenerys Belluno, 116, and Jack Amiels Mr. Turf, 113, both come from winning races at Belmont Park. Belluno turned back Master Ace in a fast six furlongs on June 7, and the latter came back to beat Wihte Skies and set a track record in the Oceanport Handicap at Monmouth on Saturday. Eddie Arcaro will ride the Bossuet gelding. Mr. Turf, who will probably be a couple of pounds overweight with Eric Guerin in the saddle, came back after a long absence ia beat Master Ace on June 3 in exactly the same time that Belluno required four days later, but had eight pounds less to carry. The Gravesend field is completed by J. T. Bradys Real Brother, 112; Stephen Mes-sanas King Jolie, .also 112, and Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Peter Lane, 109 pounds. Real Brother, who appears to have regained much of his fine form of other years, comes from a winning race at Rockingham Park. King Jolie was claimed from Isidor Bieber from his last race for 2,500, while Peter Lane is a three -year-old who finished only a half length back of Quick Lunch, while getting four pounds last out.
