RIGHT BIT began fast and held a short lead racing outside the first flight, drew clear entering the stretch and lasted to stave off ALLADIER. The latter was taken in hand, being unable to match speed with the leaders after a good start, came to the outside for the stretch drive and finished with a rush. GREY HOUR, probably best, was taken up sharply at the break and began several lengths behind, raced to the field in hand on the final turn, then closed with a rush and finished on even terms with CORFEL. The latter, steadied behind the first flight, closed well in the final quarter-mile and dead-heated for show. VIRGINIAN saved ground and rallied mildly. SANFOIN gradually improved position and finished well to be clearly best of the others. RADICAL raced to the front in hand, but tired after seven furlongs. SHINING ON was not a threat.
