HONEYS ALIBI was always within striking distance and moving strongly on the outside of the early leaders after entering the stretch, took a good lead approaching the final sixteenth and held sway to the end under good urging. BLUE LEM trailed for a quarter and was outrun to the stretch, then came with a powerful rush in the middle of the track and was gaining. MAKE READY was in the middle of the pack down the backstretch and seemed to be in rather close quarters, then came steadily through the stretch and finished well. MUNCHAUSEN saved ground where possible and was always a good contender. TRIM DESTINY had early speed but weakened in the stretch. STYRUNNER made up some ground. D0G00N weakened after leading for about six furlongs. TRAFFIC JUDGE raced on the outside early and went very wide on the stretch turn, but loomed again an eighth out only to falter when put to the test. SPEED ROUSER and HI JET had some early speed.
