Bettis, Purdue Co-Captain, First Guard Named to All-Star Guard Tommy Bettis, twice co-captain of Purdues football team, yesterday was named to the College All-Star squad which will play the Cleveland Browns in Soldier Field August 12. Bettis, first guard selected for the 22nd annual midsummer classic, was the Browns No. 1 choice in the National Football League draft last January. But Green Bay got him. He co-captained the East squad at the Shrine Game and the North squad in the Senior Bowl game last January.
