Moondrift, Dam of Stakes-Win Silver Drift, to Be Sold RIVERSIDE, Calif., June 20. One of the most successful broodmares in the brilliant band of 37 matrons to be sold by W. W. "Tiny" Naylor at his giant dispersal sale Monday afternoon here is Moondrift, a daughter of Challenger n. Star Chase, by Purchase. Herself a winner, Moondrift is a sister to Moon Maiden, stakes winner of 19 races and currently famed as the dam of the prominent stakes star Joe Jones. Moon-drifts dam, Star Chase, also produced Star-way, Star Maker, Princess Prim and Calles-ter, all good winners. Since retiring to the breeding paddock, Moondrift has proven herself an outstanding producer. Perhaps her best offspring is Silver Drift, stakes-winning filly who conquered Honeymoon in the Vanity Handicap a few years ago at Hollywood Park. Other winners for Moondrift include Dimples R Silver Trophy and Liberty Moon.
