Nats Buy Cuban Infielder WASHINGTON, D. C, June 20 UP. The Washington Senators today purchased Cuban infielder Jose Valdivielso from their Charlotte farm club and optioned reserve infielder Tony Roig to the same club. Valdivielso, 21-year-old right-handed hitter, may make his big league debut Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox. With Charlotte, he was batting .310 and batted in 27 runs.
