Saratoga Assigned 128 For Lamplighter 7Cap Pegged Two Over Nances Lad And Three Above Traffic Judge By WILLIAM C. PHILLIPS MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 20. A bumper crop of 64 sophomores today were assigned weights for the 0,000 added Lamplighter Handicap by racing secretary John Turner, Jr. who placed Montpeliers Saratoga at the head of the list with 128 pounds, two more than he rated Hilton A. Dabsons Nances Lad and "five pounds above Clifford Mooers Traffic Judge. The Lamplighter will be renewed at one mile and a sixteenth on this coming Saturday. Saratoga, a son of Blenheim II. Shipshape II., by Blue Peter, finished second to Nashua in the Flamingo last winter at Hialeah and again in the Preakness. He did not start in the Kentucky Derby which was won by Swaps. Saratoga this season won an allowance sprint in Florida, the Chesapeake Stakes, and in his last start, the Leonard Richards at Delaware Park. Nances Lad was withdrawn from the Chicagoan at Balmoral Saturday and is shipping back here to Monmouth Park.
