Atkinson Nursing Sore Back AQUEDUCT, L. I., June 28. Jockey Ted Atkinson took the afternoon off to nurse a sore back. The popular veteran was thrown from Mordigan leaving the gate in Saturdays eighth race, but breezed three horses Monday morning and rode three iD-the afternoon. However, he felt stiff and sore after riding Indian File in the seventh yesterday, and the condition was no better this morning.
