Richard Swaffields Rayson Jett, alertly handled away from the gate by veteran reinsman, R. J. "Bobby" Martin, led nearly every step of the mile journey when triumphing in the featured sixth race on the card here J today. With 5,324 fans in the stands, Rayson Jett gained command a stride after the field was dispatched and maintained a clear advantage the rest of the trip winning under punishment by a length and a half over W. C. Ensors Cassia, who was closest to the winner throughout and could not menace when the real test came. Another length back, I. J. Collins Bumpsy Up garnered the show portion of a ,000 purse award while Nother Speech was fourth and the favorite, Broken Shedrow, finished next best among the group of eight sophomores who competed.
