Five Cardinal Quarterbacks To Receive Extra Training Five quarterbacks will report to the Chicago Cardinals training camp at Lake Forest College July 11 for an extra weeks schooling before the July 17 roll call for all rookies. Stan Heath, a veteran of seven pro seasons, and Robert Toquinto, ex-Santa Clara star, were added to head coach Ray Richards quarterback candidates. Others of the five early show-ups will be veteran Lamar McHan and rookie Dave Leggett of Ohio State, and Bill Hooper of Baylor, another newcomer to the professional ranks. Heath started with Green Bay in 1949, then played the last five years with Hamilton and Calgary in the Canadian league. Three players wont be on hand next month. Ogden Compton, of Hardin-Sim-mons, will still have a couple of weeks left to serve in the Army. California star Paul Larson has gone into service until some time during the 1956 season, and Sam Etcheverry, Canadas most valuable player last year- who was signed by the Cards at the league meeting, hasnt been heard from.
