Jet Action, Subo,?dar Governors Top. eights Each Given 126-Pound Imposts For Gansetts CIos?:- Stake NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 28. Weights for the closing day feature, the 5,000 added mile and one furlong Governors Handicap, were released here today by racing secretary M. C. "Ty" Shea. The event to be on Saturday, lured a record number of 33 nominess, and for this the twenty-second running the race will reach its highest gross vaule since its inception in 1934. v Maine Chance Farms Jet Action and Mrs. Walter M. Jet Action, made his return to the racing wars just two weeks ago at Monmouth Park where he captured a six-furlong allowance event covering the distance in a sparkling 1:09. The colt was well in hand that afternoon and "led his nearest rival, Bushers Beam, home by five lengths. Last season Jet Action accounted for the mile and three-sixteenths Reamer Handicap at Jamaica while defeating no less than Helioscope who at the moment is the top handicap star of the country. Subahdar has come into his own during this years campaign for in four trips post-ward he accounted for three purses. The Oscar White trained-star in his last start, the Suburban Handicap, tackled the toughest opposition he has met to. date, that being Helioscope and High Gun, and undoubtedly turned in the best effort of his career for he finished third being just four and one-half lengths away at the end of the mile and one-quarter journey. The gelding started the year out in April at Laurel where he won a mile and one-sixteenth allowance event. His next outing found him annexing the mile and one-sixteenth Laurel Handicap while lifting top weight of 124 pounds. The Camden Handicap at Garden State proved to be his next winning vehicle and on this occasion the gelding won handily .from such good ones at Capeador and Full Flight. GreentreeJs Straight Face has been assigned 123 pounds and is another that is hitting the comeback trail, having started the year out at Belmont Park in late May. Just last Saturday the five-year-old gelded son of Count Fleet Expression indicated that he had reached his top form for he finished second to Paper Tiger, just a head , away, in the mile and one furlong Edge-1 mere Handicap at Aqueduct while lifting 123 pounds. Charfran Stables Cascanuez gets in with 122 pounds and frcm all appearances will have his work cut out for him inasmuch! as he has confined the majority of his efforts to the grass during the past 10 months.
