Riyer Downs to Present Indiana Day7 Tomorrow RIVER DOWNS, Cincinnati, Ohio, June 28. River Downs will honor the neighboring State of Indiana on Thursday when "Indiana Day" will be observed. Each of the eight races will carry the name of one of the Hoosier cities in the central and southeastern parts of the state. The featured seventh race will be the Indiana Day Purse, and state officials have been invited to make presentations to the winner following the race. The famed Indiana State Fair Mounted Color Guard, headed by Col. Harold D. Johnson of Indianapolis, will lead the parade to the post in the feature.
