Toronto Club Buys Limmer TORONTO. Ont., June 28 UP. The Toronto Maple Leafs of the International League have purchased first baseman Lou Limmer from the Kansas City Athletics, general manager Rudie Scaffer announced today. The 28-year-old left handed hitter reached the Philadelphia Athletics in 1951 after a five-year tour through the minors.
