VanderbiltsMaverick Wins Juvenile Sprint in England Special to Daily Racing Form WOLVERHAMPTON, Staffordshire, Eng., June 28 Reuters. The cerise and while silks of Alfred G. Vander-bilt, worn by jockey Bill Elliott on the American owners two-year-old colt, Maverick, were in front from start to finish in the five furlongs plus Bilston Maiden Plate, first event of the evening meeting at the Duns tall Park track. Maverick, a strong choice in the betting, went from 4 to 1 down to 7. to 4 at post time and easily outran the second favorite of "the race, Sir Oliver, by a length and a half. Bossier, with champion jockey Doug Smith up, was two lengths further back in third place. s Maverick, by Mustang Honeysuckle, is trained by Gerry Balding at Weyhill Hampshire.
