Rams Place Three Players Under Contract for 1955 LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 28 UP . Don Wade, former Vanderbilt University linebacker and brother of Los Angeles Ram backer Billy Wade, was signed by the Rams today as a free agent. Don Wade was one of three players the Rams announced would report at the Red- lands, Calif., summer, training camp July 7 for the start of the 1955 training, period. The others signing contracts were Earl Stelle, former Oregon quarterback, and Willie Roberts, end from Tulsa University. Stelle was the Rams twenty-first draft choice in 1950 while Roberts was chosen in the fourth round in 1952. Both had been in the service and have not played pro football. Wade also comes to the Rams from the service.
