Make Annual Boxing Awards DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 28. The annual boxing awards were made on Monday night from ringside at the track by Bryan Field, vice-president and general manger. The 21-jewel gold wrist watches were awarded to Bernie McCann of the Charles R. Lewis Stable "Best in class over 130 pounds;" Leroy Brown. Whitey Nixon Stable "Best in class under 120 pounds;" Howard Moore, Everett W. King. Stable "Most improved boxer," and August "Catfish" Jones, Glen W. McNaugtiton Stable "Sportsmanship." The weekly boxing bouts under the direction of recreational directors Jock Labelle and Jack OBrien were part of the varied athletic and entertainment schedule. The admissions softball team, league champions, will be feted at a dinner in the clubhouse Thursday evening. Field will handle the toastmaster duties and Alan T. Clarke, former major league hurler and a leading trainer of the current meeting, will be the guest speaker.
