150 Jersey Foals Reported FREEHOLD, N. J., May 9.— About 150 New Jersey foals have been reported thus far and more are due during the month. Among the recent arrivals is a chestnut filly foaled -at -Ruff Acres Farm on May 1. She is by Sub Fleet out of the mare Cote dOr and is due to ,be bred to the Ruff Acres stallion Roistar, the imported son of Artie Prince — Roisin, by Rosewell, who is owned in partnership with John S. Kroese. Kroese has two bay filliesthis year, one by Helvetian out of Hopscotch, the other by Alquest out of Hoopdedont. Kroeses mare Royal Viola, in foal to Kingsway n. is due to foal momentarily and will be bred back to Roistar. Five of an anticipated crop of seven have been fillies at Ruff Acres, bearing out the theory that this must be a filly year.
