DILLY DALLY dropped back on the turn, then finished with goocfenergy. SPECIAL STORY closed a good gap of ground with a late bid. NATTILL, sluggish early, was going well when too late. RED SULTAN gave an explosive rally after settling into the stretch and won going away. PUTT alternated in setting and forcing the pace from the outside, lugged in badly in the early stretch and, after being carefully handled, outfinished BETSY CEE. The latter had good speed along the inside and continued on willingly after losing the lead. ULTRA SMART was forced to take an erratic course through the stretch and lacked a solid late response. AL TANTEO tired. EAST-WEST could not threaten. HOT-CHA sulked leaving the gate and trailed far behind. Betsy Cee claimed by M. Prickett and Son, trainer M. The latter moved inside the winner in the early stretch, then could not overtake that one. RUFUS THE RED raced wide and lacked a solid late response. KARAMU raced evenly in the final run. The latter caused crowding along inside at the first turn, dropped back slightly after settling into the backstretch, came to the outside to reach the front in deep stretch, then, while lugging in, could not hold the winner. COLUMBIA GEM raced with the pace from the start and tired nearing the end. DOTS BOY was rated while holding a slight advantage to the eight pole, then tired. BEACH BEAU, crowded at the first turn, dropped back, rallied boldly along inside on the final turn, then was blocked the entire final eighth. SPEED 0LIGHT failed to threaten. LAND LASH tired.
