Rogers to Ride Rico Tesio In Preakness on Saturday GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 9. — Anthony Imbsi, owner of Briar-dale Farm, announced while attending the races here this afternoon that he has signed Chris Rogers to ride his Rico Tesio next Saturday in the 83rd running of the Preakness. The Royal Charger colt was ridden by Manuel Ycaza in the Kentucky Derby and finished 10th. Prior to that, he had finished fourth in the division of the Derby Trial won by Open View, and last season as a juvenile was fourth in The Garden State. Imbsi also announced that immediately following the running of the Preakness, Rico Tesio will be brought to Garden State Park and placed under the direction of trainer Arthur H. "Frenchy" Bowen, who will condition the colt for the 0,000 added Jersey Stakes to be renewed here May 30. Bowen replaced Joe F. Piarulli as trainer for the other Briardale Farm horses earlier this week, including the two-year-old filly, Sainted Did, who will be ridden by Tommy R. Root here Wednesday in the 5,000 added Rancocas Stakes.
