Claiborne Farms Nadir, who dem- onstrated a definite preference to the Belmont strip last season breezed 5 panels over the main track in 1:01. Calumet c Farms Kentucky Pride, unsuccessful at the f Jamaica course in three outings, may find c the spacious Belmont strip more to his liking. The speedy sprinter drilled 5 fur- * longs in 1:00%, handily, and was under restraint throughout his work. Trainer Hal i Goodwin sent Myron N. Goodwins Jimmer, a like distance in 1:01 while Nans Mink , stepped a half mile in :48%, handily. Maurice Newtons Egotistical prepped for the Toboggan with a 1:04 five-eighths work J over the Belmont training track. Mrs. J. j R. H. Thourons Royal Dazzler, who is scheduled to make his first start in a maid- , en event later next week, continued to sizzle with his early morning trials, as he blazed three-quarters of a mile in the ex- I cellent time of 1:12. The untried son of Royal Vale has -indicated tremendous speed during the training hours and will get his chance shortly. Sir This Out Shows Speed Alfred G. Vanderbilts Sit This Out was impressive with a 1:01 clocking for 5 furlongs,, while Cain Hoy Stables Hidden Talent, winner of a division of the Kentucky Oaks, breezed 4 panels in :47%. Trainer Lucien Laurin sent the Charfran Stables Crafty Skipper a half mile in :48 and E. Leigh Cottons First Minister indicated fitness for his local debut with a :46% timing for, 4 furlongs. Joseph E. OConnells Cavan continued to train briskly and posted a quick :59% for his five-eights • work. Misty Flight, from the Wheatley Stable string, finished full of run at the end of his 1:13% six-furlong : jaunt, and Victory Morn, from the Cain l Hoy Barn, posted a 1:15% six-panel drill. King Ranchs Chistosa, who seemed the J best in the Bed oRoses Cap, dashed three-quarters in 1:15, handily, while Colin C. • MacLeods Besomer covered the same distance • two-fifths of a second slower. Trainer Johnny Nerud sent his highly 7 regarded Native Dancer filly Taboo, a slow 7 half mile in :52, breezing. Conditioner Billy Dobbs had Pastorale Stables s Big Fright go 5 panels in 1:00% and the e mare finished that work in fine fashion.
