Howards Whatitold-you, Raoul Walshs Bounty Bay and C. V. Whitneys Hit the Trail. Completing the field are Western Stables Cino, W. Lambrechts Wildoath, R. G. Campbells Hasty Score, Briar Cliff Stables Haydn, Rocking M. Ranchs Glade Flower, C. R. C. Stables Spike, Shima and Lauders Aly Tudor, F. Marshalls Circle Lea and Arthur Fellows Empiric. In such a large field, the horses which-are able to avoid trouble are likely to present the strongest challenges for victory. Otherwise, there is not much to choose among the various qualities of the Spring Handicap contestants. Most of them have raced creditably all spring. Among those in the closing-day feature who have either won or placed in stakes are Ying and Yang, who is Mondays top weight; Bisco, Gaelic Gold, Busher Fantasy, Gigantic, Whatitoldyou and Bounty Bay. Most think Ying and Yang, who has been racing with some of the best horses at this meeting, will rule a slight choice, but many of the others also have much to recommend them as threats.
