I i . [ . Edward Delling, Admissions Employe in East, Dies Suddenly NEW YORK, May 9.ā€” Edward Delling, one of the veterans of racing, died at a Washington, D. C. hospital last night. He was admitted to the infirmary Friday morning complaining of pains and aches in the region of his heart. He was employed at the Foxcraf t Raceway near Laurel under Jack Boylan, chief of admissions department. Dellings association with racing spanned more than a half century. In his youth he was an expert mechanic with an auto concern in his native Buffalo. John W. Schorr, the Memphis, Tenn., brewer and owner of one of the more pretentious menages of that era, recognizing his ability with an auto, hired him as chauffeur and mechanic. Delling toured the country in his new capacity and later drifted into other racing activities. In recent years he was a member of the admissions staff at Tropical Park, Atlantic City and other tracks. Delling was a bachelor and has no surviving relatives. The body is at Welchs Funeral Parlors, 741ā€” 11th Street, Washington, S. Eā€ž and funeral services will be held Tuesday morning with interment in that city.
