Todays Suffolk Downs Card To Aid Youth Center Fund SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Miss., May 23. — Nine races and an hour of entertainment by the tops in- that line are on tap for New England patrons tomorrow as the Suffolk Downs management puts on a worthy show for the Christopher Columbus Catholic Youth Center Fund. The entire I gate receipts will be turned oyer to the I Most Rev. Richard J. Cushing, archbishop of Boston, who is sponsoring the youth center. Racing Secretary "Eb" Pons has drafted a very interesting card for the occasions, headed by a mile and a sixteenth event for sophomores. Seven of the better-than-aVerage three-year-olds are slated to vie for the ,000 purse. The line-up for the feature is comprised of Bulverde, Dannas Pensive, Flic Flac, Whit Whiz, Thistle Jay, Plucky Star and Snorkel, and the manner in which they have been performing suggests a wide open event is on tap. Following the main attraction, another allowance test at the same distance for older horses should prove as interesting. Bold Bolo, Andys Glory, Fair Appraisal, Platform, Lionheart, Princeling, and Four Chances appear well matched in the secondary feature. A large stage will be erected on the vast apron before the grandstand to enable such stars as Milton Berle, Frankie Laine, Jacqueline Francois, Ben Anthony, Betty and Jane Keane, Don Dennis, and Ralph Flanagan to perform their acts beginning at noon. Predictions of good weather should attract a large crowd for a worthy cause.
