Florida Bill to Governor TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 23. — The Florida legislature today sent to the governor a bill which would prohibit publication of any racing news in Florida except entries and results. The measure includes newspapers in the ban. Advance information such as selections, jockeys, probable odds and scratches would be outlawed. Sponsors of the measure said it also would apply to radio broadcasts, the word "publication" being construed to mean all forms of news dissemination. As originally passed by the House, the bill would have prohibited the printing of tip sheets and any racing data in newspapers. The Senate amended it to specify what can and what cannot be published. The House concurred in the change by a vote of 40 to 28.
