FRANKIE D. rallied too late to seriously endanger the leaders. GARBLE had no apparent excuse. CINDER KING lacked speed, as did FOXY LIZ. SEDGLING retired Iteadily after having brief early speed. ARCOURT, always within striking distance came out for the drive and, after disposing of SHINING DEED, won drawing away. SHINING DEED held a slight lead entering the stretch, faltered during the late stages and could not hold the winner. GARRETT C failed to respond for the drive. FRIENDLY SANDS lacked her usual belated rally. FRISK was unable to keep up GRAND ISLE and JUNIOR WOLF were never forward factors. MY WASH had no apparent mishap.
