Elkridge to Return to Action In Meadow Brook Chase BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 23. — Kent Miller reported today that his veteran steeplechaser Elkridge not only would be able to race again, but there was an outside chance that he may be able to take part in his 115th race in the Meadow Brook Steeplechase Handicap here- on June 14. The worlds richest steeplechaser, who is now 13, suffered a broken nose at the eleventh fence in the International Steeplechase last week and for a time it was feared that his racing days were over. Fortunately, Eikridges sinuses were not damaged by the injury, which was caused when Whatta Night dislodged a log from the take-off of the fence and "pop" hit it as it sailed through the air. Miller said that he had his veteran on the track this morning.
