Night Harness Racing Bill Killed in California Senate SACRAMENTO, Calif. May 23.— Night harness raeing in California was killed for the time being in Calif ornia yesterday when the State Senate, by a vote of 24 to 12, turned down the Collier Bill which would have legalized the after-sundown trots. Earlier in the day, the Assembly had approved a bill which would allow the State Racing Board to license quarter horse racing on tracks of less than one mile in circumference. If passed, this bill would permit quarter horses races at county and district fairs up to 14 days in some counties.
