Blackstone Valley Lures 11 Gansett Handicappers Topweighted My Banker Seen Probable Overnight Favorite NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 10. — Eleven well-regarded contenders, representing ten interests, headed by Pete Putriments My Banker, parade postward in the ,500 Blackstone Valley Handicap, ah overnight event at six furlongs, that spotlights the first Saturday program of the session. My Banker, one of the stars of the New England racing season, has been assigned top weight of 120, conceding from four to 14 pounds to his rivals in the days feature, and with the field thus weighted the handicap promises a wide-open scramble. Arrayed against the Putriment color-bearer will be Irving Gushens Soldier Son and Frank Calcagnis Isle of Bond, both of whom are second high weights at 116 pounds; H. A. Kimballs Algasir, 115; Jet Stables Weal or Woe, 114; W. P. Man-naghs Mintaway, 114; G. S. Collelas Switch On, 113; Slim, 110, and Floor Boss, 108, coupled as the Sunnycrest Stable entry, A. A. Crabbes Eternal Mark, 112, and Mrs. A. E. Egglestbns Hokey, 106. My Banker has turned back some of the top horses in this sector this year. His most notable score was achieved in the 0,000 Paul Revere Handicap at Suffolk. In that six-panel sprint the Sun Again offspring beat the highly regarded Star Rover in 1:10%, and since that race has maintained his fine form, a factor that promises to send him away a slight choice against his rivals tomorrow. Soldier Son, who in past seasons has shown a liking for the Gansett strip, appears to be rounding to winning form, and when in top fettle this Irish-bred speedster is a tough one to catch. The veteran cam-paigner, Algasir, a prime favorite here, arrived from Garden State after finishing second in a pair of races, and as he is weighted in the Blackstone Valley he cannot be ignored. Isle of Bond, holder of the Gansett record for a mile and a sixteenth, and Weal or Woe, a newcomer to New England, rate high up among the stout contenders in this ,500 event. Floor Boss, the greatly improved plater who already has graced the winners circle at the meeting, merits strong consideration.
