Merger Bill Meets Opposition SPRINGFIELD, HI., June 10. — The bill proposing the merger of the Illinois Racing Board and the state harness racing commission hit a snag in the Senate here yesterday when Sen. John Meyer R. Danville asked for postponement to clarify reasons for the consolidation proposed by Gov. oWilliamj Stratton for economy reasons. Sen. William J. Connors D.
