Butch K Seeks Omahas Feature RecentWinner atAk-Sar-Ben Concedes WeightToday tol 1 Queens Plate Handicap Foes AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 10. — The Ak-Sar-Ben Queens Plate Handicap is up for decision Saturday with an even dozen classy runners named to match strides over the middle distance of one mile and 7Q yards in quest of the ,000 purse. Butch K., the hard-hitting eight-year-old son of Whisk K— Sister Esther, owned by the partnership of Guy and Walter Shultz, has been assigned top weight of 117 pounds and will seek to repeat his winning performance in last Saturdays Ak-Sar-Ben Governors Handicap when he turned back a fine band of sprinters. Second in line according to weight assignment is I. R. Salleys Mr. Favor, with 115 pounds and to be handled by jockey Billy Powell and this consistent performer will vie for his first victory at this meeting, having turned in some very sharp efforts when matched with the better grade here. In the Ak-Sar-Ben Memorial Handicap, he was a strongly closing second to be beaten by M. W. Whitebooks Abolere with Butch K., finishing third in the event whicluwas at the same distance as tomorrows head- 1inpr_ Abolere Gets in With 111 Pounds The Queens Plate should be a top-notch affair as entered are such steady goers as the aforementioned Abolere who gets in with 111 pounds and H. Wells Calloway K., also with 111 pounds, who followed up his effort in the Memorial Handicap with a victory in an allowance event last Saturday. Rounding out the field are Glenn Murphys Flashy Ways, 110 pounds, J. T. Dillards Equichall, 106; J. K. Houssels Tolerant, 110; G. Bamfords Doc Moorman, 104; J. W. Coopers Undone, 106; Ed Luthers The Snapper and J. H. Thatchers My Lovely each with 104, and F. O. Akins Appointment, the lightest weight of the group, with 102 pounds. The Clang Purse, an allowance sprint affair at five and one-half furlongs, offers a purse of ,700 and will strongly support the feature with seven good grade speedsters named. Olin Sledges Cross Ring, winner of the Inaugural Handicap here, will attempt to garner his second victory of the meeting by turning back such fast foes as E. K. Careys English Lad, L. Jeffers Baby Delight and Rorick and Lanes Miss Questuary.
