Jockey R. L. Baird Returns to Saddle DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 10. — Jockey Robert Lee Baird, who suffered cuts and bruises in a riding mishap here last Monday afternoon, returned to the saddle at the local course on Friday, accepting six mounts. Baird is affiliated with the T. Alie Grissom stable, which is trained by Vester R. Wright, tied with William Zakoor for conditioning honors at the local course.
