Though the third race on the program is ia ,750 claiming affair, it will invoke keen interest for the fans. As a six-furlong dash designed for four-year-olds and older horses, F. Merrys Sydney ±1., a five-year-old War Hero gelding, will be trying for his fourth consecutive set of brackets. He. has handled this strip effectively in any kind of going for his visits to the charmed circle and, while scaling the ladder a wee bit, it will be interesting to note his performance, even with the 120-pound impost; The field is rather light for the affair, with but eight drawn on the overnight, but with-a near normal racing strip . .it would not be unlikely to find jockey Howard Craig hustling him over the dash in near record time.
