Babe Didrikson Withdraws From Tourney Due to Illness NEW BRUNSWICK, N. J., June 10 UP. — Mrs. Babe Didrikson Zaharias today notified John E. McAuliffe, sponsor of the tourney, that she will be unable to compete in the Triangle Womens Round Robin golf tournament at the Grossinger, N. Y., June 14-18 because she injured a disc in her spine during a workout at Galveston, Texas. • Mrs. Zaharias, who also was forced to withdraw from National Golf Day last Saturday because of injuries, is confined to a Galveston hospital. McAuliffe said that Carroll Bowman would take Mrs. Zaharias place in the 18-woman field of 16 profes sionals and- two amateurs for the live days of round robin play.
