Dr. Fred Adams Succumbs DELAWARE PARK, "Stanton, Del., June 10. — Word arrived here today of the death in Baltimore, Md., of Dr. J. Fred Adams, for many years the breeder, owner and trainer of thoroughbreds. Adams, who had campaigned horses throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, had been in ill health for the past several years and had just about retired from the sport, in which he had taken part since 1911. One of the most famous thoroughbreds to carry the Adams silks was Glen Wild, for whom the lovable doctor named his Catonsville, Md., farm. Other well-known thoroughbreds to compete during the years for Adams in-[ eluded Lazuli, J. Fred A., Rehobeth and Gracie. Adams was in his early eighties at the time of his demise. Funeral arrangements are unknown at this time. r t
