McShain to Watch Blazing Count John McShain, the Philadelphian who races under the nom de course of the Barclay Stable, will be here for the Belmont Stakes, in which he will be represented by Blazing Count. The Barclay Stable will be represented by a division at the Saratoga Springs meeting, headed by the two-year-old Pollys Jet. . . . yernon G. Cardy planed in from Montreal for a brief visit and reported that on leaving the temperature was at the 80 degree mark in strange contrast to the near frigid atmosphere which prevailed here on Thursday. . . . Charles Cohen of the Charf ran Stable will plane out to Chicago Saturday to witness his Cascanuez start in the grass feature at Washington Park. He plans to return shortly after the running of the race. . . . Trainer .Woody Stephens said that Traffic Judge, owned by Clifford Mooers, would be shipped by plane to Chicago to fulfill his engagement in the Chicagoan at Wash- ington Park on Saturday, June 18. Jockey Erie Guerin will do the riding chores. I. J. Collins, the itinerant, planed in from Lancaster, Ohio, acquired Smoky Hill at the C. V. Whitney sale, and then planed back west. He was met at the salessring by trainer Bill Booth and the new acquisition .was immediately transferred to Delaware Park. . . . Max Hirsch has extended to Frank Stevens an invitation to fly over to England and witness High Gun start in the King George VI. and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at fashionable Ascot. The invitation is being considered by the caterer, an avid plane enthusiast. . . . John de Blois Wack dropped by for a look at the Bel- i mont Stakes and some racing. Allie and Billie Reuben of Hasty House Farm planed back to Chicago following the Whitney vendues. The proposed deal in which they were interested, for the acquisition of Pana Slipper, runner-up in the English Derby, was not consummated. The colt was then sold to the Irish Stud for an undisclosed price. . . . Pat Kelley of Crown Crest Farm dropped in for a few races and. then left for Monmouth Park to be on hand for the opening. . . . Jockey Conn McCreary, before taking off for Woodbine to ride in the Queens Plate, reported that he will be back here on Monday to accept mounts. . . . Trainer Preston Burch of the Brookmeade Stable stated that County Clare and Tritium would be returned here from Balmoral Park on Sunday. . . . Trainer Joe Kramer, at present at Delaware Park with Hen Party, owned by Loius Lee Haggin, relayed word that he would be back for several Aqueduct engagements.
