Huntsville Appears Lame After Delaware Victory Shows Way to Belmont Breeze While Making Seasonal Debut DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 10. — Belatedly launching his seasonal campaign, "William P. Foleys Huntsville this afternoon proved victorious in the featured Busanda Purse, only to return to the winners circle slightly lame from his strenuous efforts. Mrs. Dorothy N. Lees Belmont Breeze was a fast-closing second, a haK length behind the winner and three-quarters of a length before Mrs. Henry A. Par, m.s Staffordshire. Huntsville, a six-year-old son of Pasteurized—Chuckle, thus a full-brother to the former handicap performer, Woodchuck, hadnt raced since last November in Maryland and in his most recent victory, which was at Atlantic City last August, he took the measure of the classy Joe Jones. Overlooked by the crowd of 12,114, Huntsville returned 1.80 after making the good track look fast with six furlongs in 1:11%. The winning rider was Johnny Covalli. Pacemaker in the Busanda was Eugene Moris Bronze Warrior, who soon weakened after a blistering opening quarter of :22and. With that one out of the way, Huntsville moved to the fore, closely pursued by Staffordshire, who was meeting defeat as a favorite for the third time in four starts this year. Belmont Breeze, as is his custom, raced along in sixth arid fifth position to the stretch, then unleashed a good late surge, one that failed by only -a half length to overtake the game but weary Huntsville. Staffordshire lacked the rally expected of him and was forced to settle for third money, three lengths clear of Jake Shers Pointing- StaiC John A. Gangis Valley Hart won the fifth race, finishing a length clear of a three-way photo in which crowding brought the disqualification of Thorncliff Farms Over Dover from second position. Ovet Dover had been in front, only to swerve to the outside through the stretch, " bumping the favored Heir of Pines from the Circle M Farm. The adjusted placing made Heir of Pines second, with Brandy-wine Stables Bail Out, third. Valley Hart paid 2.00 after five furlongs in 1:01V5.
